Vv. Klyubin et Sa. Tumanova, A NEW POSSIBILITY OF ACQUIRING INFORMATION ON THE DISPERSE COMPOSITION OF COLLOIDAL SYSTEMS, Colloid journal of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 57(3), 1995, pp. 328-333
A new method for solving the inverse problem of the spectroscopy of dy
namic light scattering is suggested, and the principles involved are b
riefly outlined. The development of computer programs for data process
ing is discussed. These programs are merged into the KLUB software pac
kage and can be used with any IBM-compatible computer for solving inve
rse problems that can be reduced to a Fredholm integral equation of th
e first kind. The results of a computer simulation that are presented
show the accuracy in restoring the unimodal (delta-shaped) size distri
butions of scattering particles. The influence of an error in register
ing the auto-correlation function on the optimal value of the regulari
zation parameter used for processing the correlation curve is demonstr
ated.
