Sk. Majumder et al., IN-VITRO DIAGNOSIS OF HUMAN UTERINE MALIGNANCY USING N-2 LASER-INDUCED AUTOFLUORESCENCE SPECTROSCOPY, Current Science, 70(9), 1996, pp. 833-836
Results of an in-vitro study of N-2 laser excited autofluorescence fro
m cancerous and adjoining normal human uterine tissues are presented,
Discrimination functions based on multivariate linear regression analy
sis of the spectra could discriminate between the two tissue types wit
h sensitivity and specificity values towards cancer of 100% when the c
ancerous site exhibited red fluorescence band and around 90% when canc
erous site did not show red fluorescence.
