Abstract
Heating N-(benzotriazol-1-yl)glycine ethyl esters (2) under bar, obtai ned by Mannich condensation of glycine ethyl esters (1) under bar, for maldehyde and benzotriazole, in THF in the presence of excess of NaH u nexpectedly gave diethyl trans-2,3-piperazinedicatboxylates (3) under bar.
