Abstract
Treatment in alkaline medium of a gamma-bromotrifluoroacetylaminocyclo pentane derivative affords a bridged oxazepine whose cleavage led sele ctively to trans substituted compounds. This anchimeric assistance rea ction due to a trifluoroacetylamino group beared by a cyclopentane rin g is similar to those observed with the opening of aziridines in homol ogous structures.
