EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES OF ADAPTIVE RECORDING OF HALF-TONE IMAGES ON A NEW-TYPE OF HIGH-SENSITIVITY PHOTOTHERMOPLASTIC MEDIA

Experiments have been carried out on adaptive photothermoplastic recor ding of half-tone images, based on the use of a model developed for th e formation of a photothermoplastic image. The conclusion is reached t hat adaptive photothermoplastic recording of a priori uncharacterized and characterized optical images shows promise. (C) 1996 The Optical S ociety of America.
