Abstract
The stereoselectivities in the oxidation of [Co(pn)(3)](2+) (pn = 1,2- propanediamine) by Delta-[Co(glyO)(ox)(2)](2)(glyO = glycinate, ox = o xalate) and in ion-association of (lel)(3)- and (ob)(3)-[Co(pn)(3)](3) with the same anionic complex are observed to be dependent on the ch elate-ring conformation and are indications of the importance of the e lectron-transfer step within a precursor assembly in the overall elect ron-transfer stereoselectivity.
