A. Fenghour et al., DENSITIES OF (WATER PLUS CARBON-DIOXIDE) IN THE TEMPERATURE-RANGE 415K TO 700 K AND PRESSURES UP TO 35 MPA, Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 28(4), 1996, pp. 433-446
New measurements of the amount-of-substance density of 11 mixtures of
(water + carbon dioxide) are reported in the temperature range 415 K t
o 700 K at pressures from 6 MPa to 35 MPa. The results have been obtai
ned using a fully-automated isochoric instrument. The average uncertai
nty of the density is estimated to be about +/-0.08 per cent for the m
ixture with the lowest water content, and +/-0.14 per cent for the mix
ture with the highest water content. Comparisons with independent sour
ces of experimental data through a model based upon the two-fluid corr
esponding states principle are presented. The dew points of the mixtur
es studied have also been determined and are compared with values from
the Peng-Robinson equation of state. (C) 1996 Academic Press Limited
