Abstract
A computational investigation of the dilute pneumatic transport of sol id particles in the pipe bend is presented. The cause and effect relat ion among the flow velocity of the carrying fluid, the pipe bend curva ture, and the rate of erosion is investigated. KIVA-3 code developed a t the Los Alamos National Laboratory is utilized on the MAUI super com puter to facilitate this study.
