Abstract
Electro-magnetic modeling of electrofiltration phenomena requires coup led modeling of fluid flow, electric (streaming) potential and magneti c field. We present here a finite element method for solving 3-dimensi onal problems in anisotropic porous media based on the code Fux-Expert . Numerical results are given for the case of water flowing at a const ant rate through a window in the wall of a borehole drilled into sands tone. Two cases of anisotropy are examined: a horizontal plane and a 4 5 degree inclined plane.
