Abstract
This paper deals with the numerical solution of threedimensional elect romagnetic levitation problems. The transient behaviour is described b y the Maxwell equations, by the (possibly nonlinear) constitutive equa tions, and by the equations of motion. For the solution of the electro magnetic problem the BEM-FEM coupling method is used. An aluminium pla te above two coils is presented as an example.
