Abstract
Using the nodal element method and A formulation, the AC loss of a hig h-Tc multifilamentary superconducting wire in external AC magnetic fie ld is analyzed and compared with experimental results, This formulatio n is effective for convergence, Current distribution and magnetic fiel d are consistent with the Bean model, and the numerical AC loss is in good agreement with the experiments.
