R. Sikora et al., THE INVERSE PROBLEM SOLUTION FOR INFINITE REGIONS USING THE IMPEDANCETOMOGRAPHY TECHNIQUE, IEEE transactions on magnetics, 32(3), 1996, pp. 1294-1297
A new method of solving Inverse Problems for infinite regions is prese
nted in this paper. The Impedance Tomography technique has been used i
n order to find the solution - the conductivity distribution inside th
e region under consideration. The Inverse Problem solution is usually
time consuming. Significant reduction of calculation time was achieved
in this paper due to: 1. the hybrid Finite Element Method (infinite e
lements significantly reduce the number of state equations), 2. symbol
ic calculation of matrices far finite and infinite elements, 3. adjoin
t variable method of sensitivity analysis. Using computer simulation t
he new method presented in this paper was tested. The method proved to
be an efficient noninvasive technique for condition monitoring of cop
per mine gallery.
