Abstract
The performances of a finite element (F.E.) programme are closely rela ted to the richness of its F.E. library. An Object-Oriented organisati on for F.E. programmes is proposed in this paper which intends to fit closely the mathematical structure of any kind of finite element. This philosophy leads to a concise and efficient F.E. programme. Moreover it allows the user to develop himself easily his own formulations.
