Abstract
The simulation of EMC problems in underground power cable systems is c haracterized by solving an open nonlinear eddy current problem, to whi ch the Hybrid FE-BE Method is applied in this paper, The significance of this approach is the combination of the advantages of the FEM and t he BEM, The influence of a thin ferromagnetic plate on the nonlinear i teration convergence is discussed, Furthermore, the shielding effects of the ferromagnetic plates are numerically investigated.
