C. Dealmeida et R. Palazzo, EFFICIENT 2-DIMENSIONAL INTERLEAVING TECHNIQUE BY USE OF THE SET PARTITIONING CONCEPT, Electronics Letters, 32(6), 1996, pp. 538-540
The authors propose an efficient two-dimensional interleaving techniqu
e which spreads a cluster of errors having a quasicircular shape. As a
consequence, simple one-dimensional random-error-correcting codes can
be used to correct this kind of cluster, instead of the more complex
two-dimensional burst-error-correcting codes.
