Abstract
A procedure is described by which the design of a corner fed nearly sq uare microstrip patch antenna is optimised with respect to the perturb ation element in order to produce circular polarisation. New fast form expressions are used to determine the individual orthogonal mode impe dances based on the Green's function approach.
