Abstract
The use of distributed amplifiers as transversal filters (TF) for high bit rate pulse shaping/filtering applications is discussed. Two schem es obtained by varying one or more TF parameters are explored. Results , based on the parameters of a commercially available 40 GHz HEMT foun dry process, are presented to illustrate the practicability of the dif ferent schemes.
