Abstract
Surface transverse waves (STW) propagating on quartz plates of finite thickness have been studied theoretically and experimentally. Multiple frequency stopbands are predicted and measured For plate thicknesses close to a few wavelengths. Temperature sensitivities are measured. te mperature-compensated modes are found on AT-cut plates.
