Close co-operation between Ericsson and BT has resulted in the rapid i
ndustrialisation and deployment of the new interactive speech and appl
ications platform (ISAP), the foundation for a number of potential BT
services, the first of which is 'CallMinder', a call answering service
. Ericsson's experienced and flexible approach to product manufacture,
network installation, operational support and project management were
crucial elements in delivering ISAP hardware within the tight time-sc
ales demanded for the introduction of the CallMinder service. The impl
ications of intelligent speech services products like ISAP herald a ra
