Abstract
We report the synthesis, via iodine-induced migration reactions of org anoborates, of (2E,4Z)-1-oxy-functionalized dienes. These latter are i ntermediates used to obtain certain flavors and odoriferous components of fruits and vegetables, together with bioactive compounds such as p heromones and prostanoids.
