Abstract
A transmitter module has been developed for 1.5 mu m 10Gbit/s optical transmission systems, which uses the direct modulation of a multiquant um well DFB laser diode. The laser driver circuit has been designed to use a 50GHz baseline HBT GaInP/GaAs technology. The transmitter opera tes al a bit rate up to 14Gbitis.
