Tc. Sandreczki et al., SUB-GLASS-TRANSITION-TEMPERATURE ANNEALING OF POLYCARBONATE STUDIED BY POSITRON-ANNIHILATION SPECTROSCOPY, Macromolecules, 29(11), 1996, pp. 4015-4018
Positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy is used to monitor the sub
-glass-transition-temperature (sub-T-g) annealing of a polycarbonate s
ample. The intensity of ortho-positronium annihilation decreases as a
stretched-exponential function of annealing time at T-g - 121 K. The d
ata are successfully fitted to a model applied to free-volume relaxati
on.
