ADVANCE ENERGY-SAVING TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPED AT SINTERING PLANTS OF KASHIMA STEEL WORKS

Sumitomo has developed a programme of energy savings at the Kashima si ntering plants. By improving the granulation method, the burners, the control model, the waste heat recovery and the precipitators, a gain o f 33.2 Mcal/t of sinter is achieved.
