Abstract
Posco Kwangyang No. 4 furnace is currently operated with a PCI rate of
150 kg/tHM, at the high production level of 270 t/m(3).d. This perfor
mance has been achieved thanks to an optimization of the operating con
ditions, a control of burden distribution and an expert system guided
operation.
