ECOLOGICAL PSYCHIATRY - DYNAMIC PSYCHIATRY - CONVERGENCE AND DIVERGENCE

Originating from the actual crisis of the human sciences the concepts of dynamic and ecological psychiatry are described, the convergencies and divergencies between both analyzed. The author presents the main f eatures of dynamic psychiatry (Alexander) with its original psychoanal ytic concept. The concept of social energy (Ammon) delivers a theory o f psychic energy between the individual and his environment - a furthe r contribution to dynamic psychiatry. Social psychiatry emphasizes env ironmental, epidemiological, aetiologic and preventive factors - all t hose factors could be articulated in the term >>ecological psychiatry< <. The author understands an increasing convergence between dynamic an d ecological psychiatry as a paradigmatic step towards a new integrate d and holistic psychiatry.
