Abstract
A model taking into account the heterogeneous character of a material when modelling the drying process is proposed with the aim of treating the coupling effects between the internal and external transfer resis tances. A classical model, in fact obtained by an homogeneisation proc edure of the previous one, is also presented. Numerical results comput ed with the two models are presented and then comments are made concer ning the use of heterogeneous model.
