Abstract
A 58-year-old diabetic woman with necrobiosis lipoidica diabeticorum d emonstrated lesions with raised, prominent borders. These areas were f ound on biopsy to have transepidermal elimination of elastic fibers. W e present this case as a unique finding and review the characteristics and possible mechanisms of transepidermal elimination.
