Abstract
In a companion paper, we dealt with the problem of predicting the liqu id behaviour of pure refrigerants. It is the purpose of the present pa per to extend the use of the Hard Sphere De Santis (HSDS) model by ass ociating it with mixing and combination rules to predict the liquid st ate densities for mixtures of halocarbon refrigerants. The deviations obtained between the experimental data, available for binary and terna ry mixtures, and the HSDS model have shown an uncertainty of 1.5% for T less than or equal to 0.9. This was the uncertainty claimed for the model, when applied to pure fluids.
