Abstract
Sodium and chlorine concentrations in mixed saliva were simultaneously measured by neutron activation analysis in nine normal children and i n nine patients with cystic fibrosis. Sodium levels showed a significa nt difference (P < 0.01) between patients and controls. The concentrat ion of chlorine was similar in both the control and the cystic fibrosi s groups.
