Abstract
Dose estimates have been made for a mammographic system using Kodak Mi n-R film in combination with a Kodak Min-R screen and grid. A molybden um target source with molybdenum filtration at half-value layers of 0. 34 and 0.36 mm A1 was used for the film-screen measurements. Depth-dos e curves in a Plexiglass phantom were then used to estimate mean whole breast dose and mean glandular dose in BR12 material using the necess ary corrections.
