Dielectric loss measurements were used to determine the ionic conducti
vity of AgBr/Agl microcrystals in photographic emulsions. Generally, a
n increase of the conductivity and a decrease of the global activation
enthalpy with increasing AgI content was observed. Due to the importa
nce of AgBr/Agl core-shell systems for current phot graphic emulsion t
echnology, the dielectric loss behaviour of 4 emulsions with cubic and
octahedral crystal morphology was examined. Furthermore, the influenc
e of spectral sensitizers and the stabilizer Tetrazaaindene on the die
lectric loss signals of these systems was studied.
