Abstract
A Raman imaging system has been used to investigate chemical and physi cal homogeneity in interstices of glass-reinforced composites. A proto col for monitoring chemical and physical spatial variations via multiv ariate statistics has been developed with the use of a simulated compo site which provides a well-defined system of known chemical compositio n and curing conditions. Finally, a preliminary study of a ''real worl d'' glass-reinforced composite is presented.
