Rv. Rodionova et al., POSSIBILITY FOR THE USE OF LATEXES MODIFIED BY UNSATURATED NONIONIC SURFACTANTS AS FINISHING ADDITIVES, Colloid journal of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 57(3), 1995, pp. 416-418
The sorption of latexes modified by unsaturated nonionic surfactants o
n cotton fiber and the effects of temperature and various electrolytes
on the sorption capacity were studied. It was shown that an increase
of the electrolyte cation charge leads to an increase in sorption inst
ability. It was found that destruction of the protective hydrate shell
of the latex particles is the main reason for sorption instability of
copolymer latexes.
