Am. Varvarin et al., CHEMISORPTION OF ACRYLIC-ACID ON HYDRIDE SILICA SURFACE, Colloids and surfaces. A, Physicochemical and engineering aspects, 110(2), 1996, pp. 129-134
The catalytic and thermal solid-phase hydrosilylation of acrylic acid
was studied. It has been established that the catalytic and thermal so
lid-phase hydrosilylations of acrylic acid proceeding at a high reagen
t pressure, are complicated mainly by the secondary process of hydroly
sis of silicon hydride groups on the silica surface. The thermal solid
-phase hydrosilylation at the reagent saturated vapour pressure involv
es both the C=C and C=O bonds of acrylic acid molecules.
