Abstract
This report presents a well-documented link between vasodepressor sync ope, a marked increase of low-frequency to high-frequency ratio (LF/HF ) of heart rate variability response to orthostasis (sympathetic domin ance), and the efficacy of beta blockers in preventing orthostatic sym ptoms and absence of tilt-induced syncope, with normalization of the L F/HF ratio response.
