Abstract
Pathogens occurring in adult Ips typographus from 15 distinct localiti es in Austria and in the Czech Republic were registered with exception of pathogenic fungi and bacteria. An Entomopoxvirus, Chytridoipsis ty pographi, Nosema typographi, Gregarina typographi and Malamoeba scolyt i could be observed in varying frequency depending on locality and yea r. The most dominant species was Ch. typographi, whereas N. typographi and M. scolyti could be found only in some few specimens.
