Abstract
A dentigerous cyst is the most common cause of a pericoronal radioluce ncy involving an impacted mandibular third molar. Spontaneous regressi on of such a lucency is reported in a patient who failed to attend for surgical enucleation. Factors promoting bony healing of cysts are dis cussed with reference to previous case reports. (C) 1996 Elsevier Scie nce Ltd for IADMFR.
