Abstract
Significant fossil-plant remains were recorded from Upper Paleozoic ou tcrops in the Hotan area, at the SW border of the Tarim Basin, Xinjian g Province. The indisputable presence of the genus Paripteris Gothan, together with various taxa of Euramerian type, confirms the continenta l connections during early Late Carboniferous times and the probable m igration routes of some Upper Carboniferous pteridosperms.
