Many real world problems concerning the management of natural renewabl
e resources are appropriately modeled and formulated as stabilization
problems of uncertain dynamical systems subject to control constraints
. Based on the recent results of Corless and Leitmann [1] on the desig
n of bounded controllers for a class of nonlinear uncertain systems th
at assure robust exponential convergence to a neighborhood of the orig
in, a componentwise bounded harvest strategy is proposed for the manag
ement of an ecological system of two competing species at some desired
prescribed level in the presence of bounded system and input uncertai
nties.
