Abstract
The results of studies on the spectroscopic properties and the origin of luminescent radiation centers in PbWO4 single crystals are presente d in this paper. investigation of the excitation spectra of luminescen ce bands and polarization measurements confirm the previously observed two green bands and establish a connection of these bands with transi tions within centers based on the WO3 group. The energy level scheme f or radiation centers is proposed.
