Abstract
It is well known in Mossbauer spectroscopy that the nuclear resonance- absorption linewidth is dependent upon the absorber thickness, This ph enomenon was demonstrated in the time domain using synchrotron radiati on pulses and a single-absorption-line Fe-57-enriched specimen. The me asured time spectra give the simplest time response of nuclear resonan t forward scattering for the excitation pulse.
