Abstract
In this paper, a novel prototype of a zero voltage switching (ZVS) PWM -controlled three-phase AC-DC active power converter is presented, whi ch incorporates a transformer-assisted resonant tank DC link (TQRDCL) topology. The operating characteristics of TQRDCL are described and th e design procedure is discussed in terms of the theoretical analysis. Proposed TQRDCL stage operation is also illustrated and discussed by m eans of simulating and experimental results. The simulated system oper ation characteristics, which work with DSP (digital signal processor)- based space vector modulated sinewave current synthesizing and power f actor correction, with an instantaneous-output DC power feedback loop, are demonstrated and compared with resonant DC link (RDCL) and hard-s witching based converter systems.
