Abstract
With the object to produce a low-sulfur coal by nitric leaching, resea rch was undertaken on the influence of the different process parameter s, such as temperature, time, acid concentration, particle size and ph ysical pretreatment on sulfur decrease, nitrification of the product, loss of calorific value and variation in ash composition for a Spanish coal.
