Abstract
The aim of the present work was to evaluate the suitability of recycli ng papers for their possible use in the field of food packaging. There fore, the amount of some heavy metals (Pb, Cd, Cr, Cr VI, Hg) and the presence/migration of optical whitenings in 14 samples of recycled pap ers was determined. The obtained results showed that the considered pa rameters may be suggested to characterize recycling papers.
