Abstract
A new multiplexing technique based on compound frequency and width mod ulation (CPFWM) for transmission of analogue signals over optical fibr e cable is reported. Spectral prediction and signal-to-noise ratio per formance obtained from the formula and computer simulation, using TESL A and MATLAB, show close agreement with the experimental results obtai ned from a practical CPFWM system.
