Abstract
An algorithm for Monte Carlo simulations is proposed in which the para meter controlling the strength of the transition becomes a dynamical v ariable and in which efficient transitions are achieved by cluster ste ps. Numerical results for the Potts model demonstrate the advantages o f the method.
