S. Kay et P. Bettess, REVISED MAPPING FUNCTIONS FOR 3-DIMENSIONAL SERENDIPITY INFINITE ELEMENTS, Communications in numerical methods in engineering, 12(3), 1996, pp. 181-184
A few of the published three-dimensional Serendipity infinite element
mapping functions have been discovered to be in error. The paper gives
corrected versions of the defective mapping functions. The problems o
nly relate to three-dimensional elements of the Serendipity type, when
they extend to infinity in two or more directions. The new version of
the mapping functions have been tested and appear to be robust.
