Abstract
Thirty patients (above 18 years) who had complained of low grade fever were diagnosed as having tonsillar focal infection. We performed tons illectomy on all the patients. A total of 24 were cured and 6 patients improved after the operation. These results indicate that tonsillecto my is often an effective treatment for tonsillar focal infection. Howe ver, the provocation test did not always give a good result.
