K. Petersen et al., POSITRON LIFETIME ANALYSIS OF DISLOCATIONS ARISING FROM TENSILE STRAIN, Journal of physics. Condensed matter, 8(16), 1996, pp. 2815-2822
Aluminium samples in the form of single crystals were treated by uniax
ial tensile strain, so that dislocations were practically the sole typ
e of defect produced. A positron lifetime study of these samples, carr
ied out at different dislocation densities, and in a wide temperature
range, gives information about the mechanism of positron trapping, inc
luding trapping rates, binding energy and the development of defect de
nsity with deformation and applied stress.
