A. Pocheau et D. Queirosconde, SCALE COVARIANCE OF THE WRINKLING LAW OF TURBULENT PROPAGATING INTERFACES, Physical review letters, 76(18), 1996, pp. 3352-3355
The physical process governing turbulent propagating interfaces is det
ermined experimentally in scale space by analyzing the interface geome
try and using the Kolmogorov cascade. Its scale covariance is evidence
d for any scale range and any interface geometry, either Euclidean, fr
actal, or inbetween. This reveals a similarity of geometry formation m
ore extended and more essential than the similarity of geometry itself
.
